Sisters Visit

(August 6) This year I was unable to go to my family reunion because of how close I was to delivering Tyson. But a few of my sisters that came from out of town we able to come to my parents for an extra week and to see the baby. It was fun seeing them all and having a chance to hang out. While they were here it is almost a requirement that we all go to Dinosaur National Monument and let the kids see the dinosaurs and then go to split Mountain for a BBQ. Here is a picture of me and my sisters and my Mom.

 After eating some yummy burgers the kids went fishing and skipping rocks in the river. It was really fun. 

Tyson Richard Rowley

on July 29th at 5:15 am I woke up and was wide awake. As soon as I decided to get up and walk into the bathroom my water broke and I knew that Tyson was going to come into the world today. I was a little excited and a little nervous to have to go through it but knew it would be worth it. 

I decided to wait awhile so that I could call the doctor's office when they opened and tell them that I was in labor. When the office opened at 8:30 am I called and told them that my water had broken and they told me to go straight to the hospital so that they could start the antibiotics. So we headed to the hospital after I finished packing my to go bag. We got to the hospital and they checked and they said yep your water had broken. So I got all hooked up and they started the pit due to my contractions being irregular. Since we knew it would be awhile for me to have the baby. I sent Justin to swimming lessons with Leah and then he would drop the kids off at my mothers house before coming back to the hospital. This picture is what they wrote on the board when I checked into the hospital. I wanted it for the record. 

 Around 4 pm I was given an epidural and then when it got closer to  6 pm we started to push. Dr. Breitenbach got there right before I pushed Tyson out. When Tyson came out, it was a little scary because he came out blue with the cord wrapped around his neck and was not breathing. The doctor had Justin cut the cord and they quickly took him to clean out his airways so that he would start breathing. It took them 1 1/2 minutes before he took his first breath. The doctor kept asking the nurse if he needed to come over there and help but they had it under-control while the doctor worked on me. Tyson got his color back really quick and they said that he had no problems.

 Tyson was born at 6:14 pm. He weighed 8 lb 14 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. He had lots of black hair. Justin and I has given the name Tyson Richard Rowley after his grandfathers.

Shortly after Tyson was born my Mom, Cassy, Nichole, and the kids came to the hospital to see the new baby. Leah was sure excited about the baby. 

We are sure excited to have Tyson Richard here safe and sound. 

Happy 24th of July

We always look forward to the 24th of July because we get to attend the scout breakfast and eat some wonderfully cooked food. They always have Pancakes, sausage, and eggs. They tasted so good. They even had people handing out some paper hat for the parade that would happen after the breakfast. Here are some fun pictures of the kids at the breakfast. 

 Once the breakfast was over we headed to the parade. Keyan was so excited to see all the of police cars blocking the road getting ready for the parade.

 Once we could see the police cars down the road Keyan was out there waving to them thinking that they would wave back. Super cute. 

 The police even had this really old police car in the parade it was cool to see but I sure would not want to ride in it if I was chasing someone. It has no seat belts and no air bags. I guess that is how they did it back in the day...scary.

 After the parade got over we headed home to have some lunch and then decided that since today was the opening day of the county fair we would attend. Of course when you go to the fair we have to do the Little Red Barn. It is always the highlight of the fair every year. Here are the kids putting on their aprons to get ready to plant and harvest some veggies on the farm. 

 The first thing we do on the farm is pick the apples on the apple patch. 

 Then the kids get to plant seeds to make veggies grow. 

 After planting and harvesting the veggies we went to the hen house and had to collect the eggs. 

 They even had these cute cut outs and the kids got in them to show how they are farmers. 

 Once they posed for pictures we had them hall the hay. 

 Once they finished haling the hay we went back inside to milk the cows. Here is a cook cow they had there to show the kids.

 They even had some sheep a pig along with the bull cow to let the kids look at. 

 Once they got done miking and looking at the animals we went to the market and the kids got some paper money to go and get something from the market store. Leah chose some Cheetos and keyan some fruit snacks. I tried to get the kids to pick ice cream but to no avail...Sad day it was really hot but oh well no Ice Cream for these kids. They were also given these cute read ribbons that said future farmers on them. They sure had fun. 

After we attended the fair we headed to mom and dad's for some good BBQ. It was sure nice to spend some time with family we even sat out on the deck and watched the fireworks that people were shooting off. It was a perfect way to end a perfect day. Cant wait until we do this again next year.
