Baby Size

This post is specifically for my sister Jennie. Every time we talk she keeps asking me to post a picture of Leah next to something so that she could really see how big she is. This is due to my mother telling Jennie that she is such a little peanut. So here are a couple of pictures. This first one is of my friends baby Mason next to Leah. Mason was four weeks premature and he only weighs 11lbs now and is three months old. So this kinds of gives you that idea. In this picture he really does look huge but he is not that big. This next picture is of Leah next to her teddy bear. It is actually as big as she is.
Jennie this picture is of her sea horse that was on top of her diaper cake. I hope that this gives you some idea of how little she is.
So here is a little update. On Monday we went to the doctor and he put Leah on a heart and breathing monitor because she stops breathing and chokes when she is laying on her back. So they put her on the monitor at night in hopes that if she did start choking that Justin or I would hear her. Then on Wednesday Leah was still having trouble with choking so Justin and I decided to have Dr. Kwack take a look at Leah. Dr. kwack is a doctor that moved from SLC and Primary Children Hospital and is now the neonatal specialist here in Vernal and is now over that departmnet. So at the Doctor's office Leah weighed in at 5lb and 3oz. So she has gained a little weight since she was at the doctor's last. YEA. The doctor also has put her on some medications for her acid reflex, in hopes that it will help so that she does not keep choking on her spit or throw up. So things are looking better. Well I will keep you all updated on everything as we learn more.

Leah First Bath

So here are some more pictures of Leah getting her first "spit bath" due to her cord not falling off yet. any ways i thought that i would share them with you.

Our Little Monkey Princess

So Justin and I are so excited to say that our little girl was born on November 1st 2009 at 6:51am. We were so close to having a little Halloween baby but it was not meant to be. I was having contractions all day on Halloween but it wasn't until 9pm that night that they became more constant and by 11:45pm Justin and I headed to the hospital. When we got to the hospital I was dialated to a four and by 1:11am I was at a Seven. I then got a epidural around 3pm due to all the back labor pain that I was in. Then it wasn't until 5pm when the doctor went to brake my water when they realized that I there was no water to brake apparently i had been leaking water all day on Halloween with out even knowing it. So anyways they decided to give me "The Pit"as some people call it. Then once they started giving that by 6:30am i was dialated to a 10 and then it was only took a few pushes and she was out... She is so beautiful and Justin and I are so excited to have her in our home...We dicided to name her LEAH CALLEEN ROWLEY... She is 5lb 11oz and 19 inches long. Here are some cute pictures of her...

Once Leah was here it was apparent that she was having a little trouble controlling her blood sugar levels from me having gestational diabetes. So they took her into the nursery and they tried feeding her and she would not keep anything down. So the doctors decided to take some x-rays and they found somethings that were showing up on the x-rays that did not look good so they did more more tests and Justin and I decdied to give Leah a blessing. Just when we were asking the nurse to help us find a LDS doctor our bishop walked down the hall (he actually said that he didnt even know why he was at the hospital but he felt the he was needed). What a testomony building experience for me. After the blessing Leah starting doing better. That night we talked with the doctors and they told us that all the tests that they ran came up normal...So that night we were able to take Leah to our room and spend some time with her...It was so nice to get to hold her and spoil her...later the next moring her IV came out and she kept improving...till we were able to bring her home on November 3rd. She is such a Little blessing for Justin and I...or as Justin calls her our little Monkey Princess...We are learning all about being new parents...Thanks Mom for helping and teaching us what we need to know. Here are some more pictures...
