Christmas

It is Snowing out side and the weather is very frightful...It is truly 8 degrees outside right now and it is snowing...It really gets me excited to listen to Christmas music and set up the Christmas tree..so that is exactly what Justin and I did for family home evening...It was really fun i got to set in my rocking chair feeding Leah and we watched as Justin put up the tree... complaining the whole time on how he was getting scratched and bit by the tree. Then after the tree was fluffed up Leah and I helped put on the Christmas balls and star for the top of the tree. We really did have some fun doing that as we listened to Christmas music. I thought that i would share some photos of our tree.. It really did turn out great..I hope that you all have as much fun as we did with your decorations.

One Month Old

I can hardly believe it... Leah is already a month old. Justin and I feel so blessed to have her in our lives...she is such a joy to both of us. The other day we took Leah to the doctor and she is finally on the charts for her weight. yea! She weighs 5 pounds 15 and a half ounces which put her at .9% on the weight chart. Doctor Kwak is going to keep her on her specialized formula so that she keeps gaining weight. But if she keeps gaining and is doing well by the next doctor appointment hopefully she can come off it.
This last week Leah has come down with a stuffy nose. It is not bad but does bother her, and she wants to be held all the time. I am not getting anything done except when she is sleeping...and that really does not happen unless i am holding her. I think that once she lays down then she cant breath and it wakes her up...oh well i guess that comes with the cold weather. I just hope that it does not last to long and she gets over it fast.
In these last couple of weeks Leah has lost her umbilical cord so she was received her first real bath...she was so cute. She absolutely loves it...Here are some pictures of her in the water...

Baby Size

This post is specifically for my sister Jennie. Every time we talk she keeps asking me to post a picture of Leah next to something so that she could really see how big she is. This is due to my mother telling Jennie that she is such a little peanut. So here are a couple of pictures. This first one is of my friends baby Mason next to Leah. Mason was four weeks premature and he only weighs 11lbs now and is three months old. So this kinds of gives you that idea. In this picture he really does look huge but he is not that big. This next picture is of Leah next to her teddy bear. It is actually as big as she is.
Jennie this picture is of her sea horse that was on top of her diaper cake. I hope that this gives you some idea of how little she is.
So here is a little update. On Monday we went to the doctor and he put Leah on a heart and breathing monitor because she stops breathing and chokes when she is laying on her back. So they put her on the monitor at night in hopes that if she did start choking that Justin or I would hear her. Then on Wednesday Leah was still having trouble with choking so Justin and I decided to have Dr. Kwack take a look at Leah. Dr. kwack is a doctor that moved from SLC and Primary Children Hospital and is now the neonatal specialist here in Vernal and is now over that departmnet. So at the Doctor's office Leah weighed in at 5lb and 3oz. So she has gained a little weight since she was at the doctor's last. YEA. The doctor also has put her on some medications for her acid reflex, in hopes that it will help so that she does not keep choking on her spit or throw up. So things are looking better. Well I will keep you all updated on everything as we learn more.

Leah First Bath

So here are some more pictures of Leah getting her first "spit bath" due to her cord not falling off yet. any ways i thought that i would share them with you.

Our Little Monkey Princess

So Justin and I are so excited to say that our little girl was born on November 1st 2009 at 6:51am. We were so close to having a little Halloween baby but it was not meant to be. I was having contractions all day on Halloween but it wasn't until 9pm that night that they became more constant and by 11:45pm Justin and I headed to the hospital. When we got to the hospital I was dialated to a four and by 1:11am I was at a Seven. I then got a epidural around 3pm due to all the back labor pain that I was in. Then it wasn't until 5pm when the doctor went to brake my water when they realized that I there was no water to brake apparently i had been leaking water all day on Halloween with out even knowing it. So anyways they decided to give me "The Pit"as some people call it. Then once they started giving that by 6:30am i was dialated to a 10 and then it was only took a few pushes and she was out... She is so beautiful and Justin and I are so excited to have her in our home...We dicided to name her LEAH CALLEEN ROWLEY... She is 5lb 11oz and 19 inches long. Here are some cute pictures of her...

Once Leah was here it was apparent that she was having a little trouble controlling her blood sugar levels from me having gestational diabetes. So they took her into the nursery and they tried feeding her and she would not keep anything down. So the doctors decided to take some x-rays and they found somethings that were showing up on the x-rays that did not look good so they did more more tests and Justin and I decdied to give Leah a blessing. Just when we were asking the nurse to help us find a LDS doctor our bishop walked down the hall (he actually said that he didnt even know why he was at the hospital but he felt the he was needed). What a testomony building experience for me. After the blessing Leah starting doing better. That night we talked with the doctors and they told us that all the tests that they ran came up normal...So that night we were able to take Leah to our room and spend some time with her...It was so nice to get to hold her and spoil her...later the next moring her IV came out and she kept improving...till we were able to bring her home on November 3rd. She is such a Little blessing for Justin and I...or as Justin calls her our little Monkey Princess...We are learning all about being new parents...Thanks Mom for helping and teaching us what we need to know. Here are some more pictures...

Baby's Room's

So this week Justin and I have been working at putting the baby's room together. We have now washed all of her clothes and put up her drapes in her room. It is starting to look really good. It is making Justin and I wish she was here. Well, I took some pictures of her room and thought that I would share them with you...If any of you have any creative ideas for her room let me know. AD These next two pictures are not in her room but this will be her bed until she is a little bigger.

Baby Project

When I was at Jennie's home this last month, I found this picture frame at Michaels. Jennie gave the suggestion of making a bow board. So I found this cute ribbon at walmart...and this is how it turned out...I think it turned out really cute...What do you think....

Oct 13, 2009

This month at work they decided to do a door decorating contest. My whole office has been working at putting their doors together. So I had Justin go with me to the dollar store and I found a couple of table clothes and some put together frames and thought it would be funny to make a tree and put some frames tied to the tree with some pictures of coworkers in the frames. It really turned out cute. I hope that you all like my pictures.

Here are the frames of my coworkers...the bat is John Rowley, Rachel Wallenda is the pumkin and Emily Gunn is the spooky frame...There are more frames with pictures in them on the door but my camera ran out of batteries. Oh, well you get the idea of what i am talking about.

Here are the pictures of my door. I hope that you love it as much as i do.

Rowley Baby Shower

On the 10th of October my sisters had a baby shower for me. It was a lot of fun. Cassy did the decorations, Nichole did the invites, Allisha did the take home bags, Mom and Ashley did the dessert, and Jennie came up with some really fun games. Some of the fun games that we played were; My water broke, what is in the baby food jar (which I had no idea), and memory. It really did turn out great. THANKS to my sisters and my mom. I also want to Thank everyone for all the gifts. I loved every single one of them...you were all so generous and Justin and I really appreciate it. Here are some pictures of the shower;
