Glenwood Springs

This year for the anniversary of my Brother's Death we decided instead of doing nothing and dwelling on what happened this day two years ago we all decided to drive the three hours to Glenwood Springs Colorado and go to the Hot Springs. This is something that we used to do all the time when Dustin and Ashley, Nicole and Justin all lived in Grand Junction Colorado. We have always had tons of fun there and decided that it would be a great distraction and fun activity for all the kids. So we got there around Noon just in time for a picnic on the grass before swimming. Then we all hurried in just in time for some fun afternoon swimming. The pool was so warm and just perfect. The wind was blowing some  but not enough to be annoying. It was perfect. Mom and I both brought some fun toys for the kids to play with in the water. Here is Mari and Kai with the diving sticks!

Keyan really loved this rubber ducky that mom had in her bag. Thanks mom for thinking of him.
This whale was fun for all the kids and adults. I am sure that everyone was wanting one of these  because they kept looking at us....
After swimming and the showers we all went out to dinner together. It was a perfect way to end the day. We were tired but we sure had fun. Thanks for coming up with the idea Ashley...We sure had fun...Even though we were burnt crispy the next day. It was worth it.

Playing at the Park

The other day Justin and I decided to take the kids for a walk. We decided that since we lived so close to the main park in Vernal, we would walk over and let Leah play. It was a big hit. She was so excited to get out of the house and play. She was all over the park running and giggling as she did it. She really loves to go down the slides and playing on the bridge. As for Keyan he really didnt want to go down the slides. But, he thought it was great to watch Leah run and play.
It was such a fun Family Activity...We will have to do it again some time.

Some fun Pictures

I was helping mom get some pictures off her camera and I found these. I had forgotten that we had even taken these pictures in March. Leah had been playing with mom's cowboy stuff and put the hat on Keyan. So we had to take some pictures. Leah even wanted to have Mickey wear the hat. They were so cute...I am glad that I found these.

Popcorn Tree's

So every night Leah requests that Justin and I sing some songs right before going to bed. As of late her favorite song is Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree. I think that we have sang this song over 500 times. Well the other day when we were getting out of the car at Church...Leah started yelling at me to look and she was pointing towards the street. Well, I looked to see what she was looking at and I could not see anything. She kept saying it so I finally asked her what she was looking at and she finally said "mom look popcorn trees...popcorn trees". I had to laugh at this because the other day my mom was showing Leah all the Popcorn trees around her house (White blooming trees)....Thanks Mom. Now Leah points out all the popcorn trees that she sees. She really loves that song.
