My Birthday

 I thank all of you that made my birthday wonderful...My mom for making me a wonderful dinner and brownies...my husband and daughter for making it a wonderful day and all the people that called or sent cards or even made me a cake to wish me a happy day. It really was a fun unexpected day. Justin actually showed up at my work and wanted me to go and test drive some cars that he thought I would like. So taking a little brake we actually found a 2008 Ford Excape we liked and was given a good price by the dodge dealership. So on my birthday we bought a new CAR! I am now claming that it was boughten for ME for my birthday. It was a fun supprise. I also recieved a new pan from Leah and Justin. A blow-dryer and a book from my parents. A zipper pullie thing from Jennie for my diaper bag. And finailly a yummy cake from the other Rowley family...he..he..he.. Here are some fun pictures of my day! Thanks Everyone!

Family

When my family arrived in Grand-Junction Colorado to go to Mari's baptism we all decided to go to dinner. We are all big Chinese fans so we went to the Tea House to eat. After dinner Jordan and some of my bother-in-law and my sisters found this candy machine in the lobby of the restaurant except for candy it had fake disguise kits. We kept trying to get the Chinese beard but we got everything else instead, and Jordan decided to sport them for us. My nice Abbie thought it was pretty funny and had join in on the fun...thanks Jordan and Abbie for the laugh...I think that we all needed that...here are the funny pictures.

Mariko's Baptism

Mari got baptized this last weekend and what a wonderful experience to be a part of. Mari is Dustin's oldest child and she as waiting until her dad got home to be baptized. Though we had the funeral the week prior Ashley and Mari decided that Dad (Dustin) would want her to go through with the baptism. Mari called my dad (Richard) or grandpa according to the grandkids and asked him to baptize and confirm her a member of the church. I was really proud of Mari, I know that it was hard for her to do this without her dad. Mari's Grandma McKeachnie gave the talk on Baptism and then my mom gave a talk on the Holy Ghost. Both talks were beautiful and a lot of tears were shed. I know that Dustin was near as Mari entered the waters of baptism. I know that he is really proud of Mari and the decision that she made to be baptized. Mari I love you and I hope that you will always remember how you felt on your special day.

My Brother!

Dear Dustin-      

 I thank you for being the best big brother ever. I have so many good memories of you while I was growing up. I remember when you would let me play soccer with you (the big kids) in the street or when we would play "kick the can" and hide in the corn (the best place to hide until dad would yell at us that we are ruining his corn). I remember when we were all jumping on the trampoline and you and Jeremy Wells got on and we riped the tramp and all of us ended up on the ground.  I remember spying on you when you were on dates and you called me your little pest. But, as we grew older I loved that you had the best personality... and that you loved to spend time with your family...You are the best dad and your children are really going to miss you!!!! As am I.....Thank you for being the best brother ever. I love you and hope that you save a place in line for me.

Dustin Calvin Millett was born on March 13, 1978 in Payson, Utah to Richard C. and Georgia R. Millett of Vernal.

He passed away on May 5, 2010 due to a motor vehicle accident. He was 32 years old. A viewing was held from 9-10 a.m. at the Grand Junction 11th Ward chapel. His funeral was conducted at the same chapel on May 8 at 10 a.m. A graveside service and internment was held in Vernal at 4 p.m. at Rock Point Cemetery.
He worked as a floorhand on a drilling rig crew, first in Colorado, and then in North Dakota for Precision Drilling. Previously he worked for Milts Ace Hardware and Coca Cola Bottling Co. He has lived in Grand Junction for the past four years.

He is survived by his wife, Ashley McKeachnie Millett; daughter Mariko Ann; son Kai Lin; son Logan Dustin; and daughter Cortnie LaDawn.

He also is survived by his parents, Richard C. and Georgia R. Millett of Vernal; his sisters, Allisha Renee Hughes (John) of Green River. Cassandra Lynn Tenney (Reed) of Syracuse, Jennie Marie Pace (John) of Ogden, Adrienne Calleen Rowley (Justin) of Vernal, Nichole Annette Merrell (Justin) of Grand Junction, Colo.; his brothers, Garrett Stern Millett of Vernal, and Jordan Merrill Millett of Vernal.
He graduated from Uintah High School in 1996 and received a bachelor’s degree in business from Utah State University in 2004.

He married Ashley Ann McKeachnie on July 7, 2000 in the Vernal Utah Temple. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served an LDS Mission in the Nagoya, Japan Mission. He was an Eagle Scout.

He loved watching basketball, football, BYU sports and the Utah Jazz, and playing computer games. His favorite loves were playing with his children and going on dates with his wife.
