Taking a Break!!! November 2013

When Justin's Family Called us and said that they wanted all the Adults to go on a Bahamas Cruise in November of course we said yes! Justin and I will have been moved into our house for only two weeks before we packed our bags and dropped off the kids at my parents house for a much needed break. We then left vernal and met up with John and Miriam before heading to the airport.  After a four hour layover in Houston we finally arrived in Miami.
We were very tired after arriving and getting a shuttle to the hotel.  Unfortunately as we walked into the hotel room I noticed a bug and screamed.  which was identified as a cockroach by Justin and John who proceeded to chase it around the room and out the door.  We then made Justin check for other roaches in the room.  He did not find any other but the bags went up high to keep any roaches from getting into the bags.  We all settled down and were soon out.  in the morning it was dark and we could not see anything so we made Justin get out of bed to turn on the lights in case of cockroaches.   We gave him all bad jobs of checking for bugs in case.
after a short trip by taxi with the driver talking our ears off and John egging him on to talk he kept inviting the guys to baseball games and dancing.   We arrived at the port and saw many ships docked.  The driver took us right to our ship the Norwegian Epic.  The ship was massive.  there were several entrances into the port. with quite a line of people lucky for us our bags were checked in and we did not have to carry all the luggage.  After waiting in line for quite a while we got through security and into another line to wait to check in.  Finally we got up to the boarding area and had to find some seats and wait for our number to be called to begin to board.
Finally we got to leave Florida after the wait.  Here are pictures of Miami as we leave.
There were many fun things to do on board.  Justin tried his hand at rock climbing and realized he was definitely out of shape.
The Rowley family got together often in groups.  Missing half of the Rowleys but you get the idea.
We tried multiple restaurants on board.  this is eating at the Manhattan room.
on our first shore excursion at ST Thomas we decided to try our hand at deep sea fishing
Justin had the brilliant idea to kiss a fish.  I would not kiss him until. he had a good face cleansing
after fishing we went to the market and the beach.

The next day we landed in St. Marten. We didn't have any excursions planned so we decided to take tour bus of St. Marten. It was really cool. We got to see many things and get some great views of the Cruise Ship.
This is Justin and I right above Megan's Bay. We later talked our bus tour guide to drop us off there instead of taking us back to the cruse ship.
We then had a couple of days on the ship between stops so me made of couple of calls home to talk to the kids. Leah was really excited when I sent her pictures of things we had done. It was fun talking to them because though we were having fun we sure missed them. Later we found this huge chess set on the ship and we played a game...lets just say Justin would not play me again for he is a sore looser.
Our last stop was in Nassau and Justin and I wanted to take it slow and go shopping then go to the beach. We found some guys who were renting scooters. So it sounded like fun so we got one and rode all around the island. It was fun trying to watch Justin try to not get us killed with all the other crazy drivers. Along the way we found some really cool beaches.
Right after this picture was taken my camera was dropped on the slick rocks...it was a sad moment No more pictures of our trip...but we sure had a great time. Thanks Mom and Dad for keeping an eye on our kids while we took a much needed break from building our house....We sure had lots of fun.
