General Conference

Justin and I were lucky enough to get tickets to the Sunday Session of General Conference. The bishop had given up three tickets because we were thinking that we could take Leah with us. As we got reading the tickets we realized that no one under the age 8 could attend so we had an extra ticket. We were tying to decide what to do with the extra ticket, and we thought of Garrett because he is always saying that he wishes that he could actually go to conference. So we decided to call him up and ask if he wanted to go. Garrett was excited about it and of course said yes! We decided to go and stay at Justin's brother's home in Harmon near Salt Lake City. Leah was excited when we arrived in Harmon because she had not seen her cousins since they had moved from Vernal a couple of weeks prior. That night we went to dinner and played some games before going to sleep. The next morning we got up really early and left Leah with her uncle John and started the 35 minute drive to SLC. We had to be in our seats by 9am so we could watch the "Sounds of Sunday" with the Motab choir. We actually had really good seats, we were in the balcony in the middle section up near the front. It was so nice to be able to see the prophet and the many great talks that were given.
After the morning session  we drove back to John and Miriam's and they had lunch ready. It was really yummy. We then packed up our things and headed back home. On the way out of town, Garrett insisted that we stop and take a picture of the new Oquirah Mountain Temple that is literly right up the hill from John and Miriams home. So we stopped and took some pictures. The temple is very beautiful but it was very cold because it was snowing that day. Here are some pictures of the temple.
